Victoria earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Buffalo Law School and is admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
Prior to being accepted into UB, Victoria served as a volunteer paralegal for the Western New York Law Center, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing legal services to low-income people. There, she was exposed to a variety of issues concerning mortgage foreclosure and consumer law in Erie County. It was through her year of service that she was inspired to pursue a degree in law and, in 2013, began her legal studies.
In the summer of 2014, Victoria was given the opportunity to work with Legal Assistance of Western New York, a not-for-profit dedicated to providing equal access to justice for vulnerable populations. As an intern, she worked directly with the staff attorneys and their clients on landlord-tenant and divorce issues, taking part in the preparation of cases as well as working directly with Spanish speaking clients.
Additionally, in 2015, Victoria interned with the Jamestown City Court of Chautauqua County. There, she participated in Drug Treatment Court proceedings, and worked directly with the Court Attorney and City Court Judge to research legal questions and draft decisions. Victoria’s time with the court, along with her previous internships, provided a rich variety of experiences leading up to her graduation the following year.
In February of 2017, Victoria joined the Law Offices of Jose Perez, P.C., where she currently handles Workers’ Compensation cases, Social Security and Immigration court hearings.
